Just 3 weeks to go to the new SDYFL Season

Well this weekend saw the opening fixtures of the premiership .. Could be a long one for Stoke whilst the usual protagonists trying to take the crown form Man u opened their accounts with a win .... Have Wolves the consistency to make a challenge for promotion

Meanwhile the real business of the SDYFL Season still has 3 weeks to start. I am sure there are friendlies aplenty scheduled between now and the opening day as teams brace themselves for the challenges that lie ahead ... Why not let me know how things are going ? Any nuggets been found

Wordsley Wasps are shaping quite nicely as the manager bloods new talent into the scheme of things ... However, in the last two training sessions the closing match has been decided by dodgy keeping of the highest order ..... the manager with his teflon hands conceding victory !!

Hi all, Teflon hands here!!
I am really looking forward to Wednesday nights friendly against our old mates from Brierley Hill Bullets as we start our plans for the new season.
I honestly think that the U12s Div 1 will be wide open this season with any one of 5 or 6 teams capable of topping the table come next May.
Hopefully we will do enough to be there or there abouts but if not, as long as we show the same improvement and quality of play that we did last season, every one at the club should be very proud.

In torrential rain, more accustomed to Borneo, the lads played out an enjoyable friendly against Brierley Hill Bullets of Div 2. Plenty to work on for the wasps, but a good start to blowing off the cobwebs .. players getting themselves familiar in different positions ... giving the manager a chance to try out new things ... well done ... Have to say though that the handing out of the new waterproof jackets at the end of the game was a good move !!!
